BEKIND Coaching Org is proud to announce the forthcoming 12-hour BEKIND Coaching Certificate Program, offered in collaboration with Fielding Graduate University. This innovative program, with ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE) credits pending approval, represents a significant milestone in advancing evidence-based, non-clinical coaching for post-crisis recovery and well-being.

Rooted in the BEKIND Method, a research-based framework developed by Dr. (soon-to-be) Kymberly Akouris, ACC, the program draws from Basic Psychological Needs Theory (BPNT) and the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Core Competencies to equip coaches and helping professionals with tools for restoring agency, confidence, and connection among individuals and communities navigating hardship.

About the Program

The BEKIND Coaching Certificate Program is a 12-hour live online course designed to help coaches and allied practitioners integrate BEKIND principles into their professional practice. Scheduled for May–June 2026, the course comprises six 2-hour sessions that emphasize experiential learning through coaching pods, case studies, and micro-interventions.

Participants will:

  • Understand the BEKIND framework and its non-clinical application in post-crisis contexts.

  • Establish ethical agreements and maintain psychological safety, aligned with ICF standards.

  • Practice presence, deep listening, and narrative reframing to surface shifts in client well-being language.

  • Learn to evoke awareness using BEKIND’s Narrative Change Reflection Tool (NCRT).

  • Facilitate client growth through experiments, action planning, and simple outcome tracking.

Upon completion, participants will receive a Fielding Graduate University Certificate in BEKIND Coaching, with 12 ICF Continuing Coach Education (CCE) units: 9 Core Competencies and 3 Resource Development (pending approval).

Who Should Enroll

The program is ideal for:

  • Professional coaches seeking to renew or expand their ICF credentials.

  • Alumni of coach training programs.

  • Practitioners in nonprofit, education, or community-based settings who provide non-clinical post-crisis support.

  • Supervisors or program leads looking for a structured, evidence-based approach to individual or group coaching.

Accessibility and Impact

BEKIND Coaching Org and Fielding are committed to ensuring equitable access. The program offers a tiered tuition model, along with need-based scholarships and reduced tuition rates for nonprofit practitioners. This initiative reflects BEKIND Coaching Org’s mission to expand access to high-quality, research-informed coaching across diverse communities.

A Partnership for Transformational Learning

This collaboration between BEKIND Coaching Org and Fielding Graduate University exemplifies a shared vision: to bridge academic research and professional practice in the service of social innovation and human development. Together, we are preparing a new generation of coaches to lead with compassion, evidence, and purpose.
